Will this get any simpler? Based on the expert NFL analysts of Bleacher Report are faring this season, it can’t get much tougher.
Deciding every game, Brent Sobleski, Brad Gagnon and Gary Davenport had another challenging streak in Week 12, dropping their combined record . Individually and as a team, here’s the harm through 12 weeks (a week’s records in parentheses):
1. Gary Davenport: 92-78-6 (7-8)
2. Brent Sobleski: 81-89-6 (7-8)
3. Brad Gagnon: 78-92-6 (5-10)

Together with December looming, we asked longtime sports gambling advisor Dave Tuley if there might be some light at the end of the tube to the gambling public or when the sportsbooks will last to benefit from bigger samples late in the season.
We were given a hope, but not sufficient to get carried away by tuley.
“There was a period under a dozen years back where I had a bunch of years in a row where I simply killed it the next half of the year and in December,” he said. “At that moment, I felt like it was only the time of year when the great teams were overrated and the bad teams were underrated, and with parity exactly what it had been, the underdogs were performing a lot better at that moment.”
However, Tuley notes that neither the books nor the bettors have struck advantages . “Just as bettors wish to think that we’re becoming smarter the more people see these teams play,” he said,”obviously the oddsmakers are seeing the same things we are, and they’re adjusting and which makes it hard also.”
But he still believes it’s possible to pick out lines which have been exaggerated by midseason slumps. In particular, he pointed at the 7.5-point spread in favor of this New Orleans Saints at a road matchup with the NFC East-leading Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night.
With that line, oddsmakers are suggesting the Saints would be preferred by as many as 13 or 14 points if that game were in New Orleans, which does seem high considering that the Cowboys are riding a three-game winning series.
“That’s [a manifestation of] the way the Saints have been playing,” Tuley said. “For the books to balance their actions, they have to place it at that amount.”
It is something to keep in mind as we enter the 2018 season’s last month. It might not save your entire year but if you’ve been following us all year, any advice helps.
