Watford have appointed supervisor Quique Sanchez Flores following the sacking of mind trainer Javi Gracia only five games.
Even the Spaniard returns after coaching the Hornets through the 2015/16 season, before going to Espanyol directing them to also the FA Cup semi-finals and some 13th-placed finish.
He remained with the La Liga side for almost two years prior to a spell in China.
Sanchez Flores led Atletico Madrid to European Super Cup glory and Europa League, and has also coached Benfica and Valencia.
After top Watford to just one win in their last ten matches gracia departed.
They have taken just one point from their four Premier League matches this year and sit underside of the table.
Last season Gracia took Watford into an 11th-placed end – their best in the Premier League – as well as only the second FA Cup final in their background.
Chairman Scott Duxbury stated:”Javi has represented Watford with wonderful dignity and will remain worthy of our fullest respect because of his accomplishments.”

Gracia was less than a year. Watford had the option to expand the bargain.
